High Value Overrides

It has become more and more necessary for our members to have access to higher insurance limits on the packages they are shipping. The good news is that we can help with that! But, there are some details that are worth sharing regarding the process:
- Each Override Request needs to be approved by underwriting, so you should not automatically assume that coverage will be granted for your package. By their nature, these requests are outside of the standard underwriting guidelines, and the underwriting team may request changes to the shipment based on the risks involved.
- The approval process normally takes less than an hour during normal business hours (and potentially slightly longer after business hours EST).
- Overrides will only be approved for Federal Express Packages
- We cannot give more than $35,000 in coverage for FedEx Ground or FedEx 2-Day packages. Higher limits must use Overnight services.
- If you have any questions regarding your package or need an expedited approval (it is nearing pickup time, etc.) please give us a call! That is the quickest way to reach us.
We all want the same thing, for your packages to be protected and get to their destination safely. These processes and restrictions are in place because of our experiences with shipping high value packages.
